The Candidate understands that the J1 Visa Summer Work and Travel Program is not a work or employment program but a cultural exchange program which enhances the participant’s knowledge of American culture which provides on-the-job immersion to American Management techniques in their field of expertise and a opportunity to travel all over the U.S.
The Candidate and USE Global, Inc. agree as follows:
ARTICLE 1. SERVICES
Provider’s Services. The Service Provider will:
- Determine the Candidate’s eligibility for the J-1 Visa Summer Work and Travel Program according to the U.S. Department of State’s current regulations.
- Evaluate the Candidate’s English level.
- Issue all documents required for the program.
- The Candidate must collect all necessary documents on his/her own, as there are different requirements for the countries. USE Global, Inc is not responsible for collecting the documents for the visa interview.
- Send the Candidate his/her medical insurance for the duration of the DS-2019. Assist the Candidate upon arrival by providing a pre-arrival orientation package and information regarding housing, Social Security, bank account, etc.
- Require of paying fees from the Candidate in accordance to this Agreement.
- Begin the application process and find the position for the Candidate after receiving the Initial payment.
- Show confirmed documents approved by the Sponsor.
- Arrange and prepare the Candidate for interviews with the Sponsor and Host Company (employer); inform the Candidate about work position in USA; to provide the address of living space/temporary living spaces (hotel, hostel, student dormitory etc.), living conditions and terms and the payment of the rent and lease.
- Collect necessary information for DS-2019 form and hand over the completed form to the Candidate. If the Candidate is outside of Azerbaijan, the shipping fee will be paid by the Candidate.
ARTICLE 2. CANDIDATE’S OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate’s Obligations. The Candidate agrees:
- To have passed all academic requirement and to be able to provide all supportive documents for education stated on the resume.
- To attend all Skype (or other online) interviews at the prearranged time organized by the Service Provider. If the Candidate will not attend at the English language proficiency interview 3 times without any warnings, his/her participation in the program will be terminated and no amount will be refunded. The Candidate can change the time of the interview no more than 2 times
- To accept the position that was offered to him/her by employer after a successful interview. Declining of the offer and the position after a successful interview/arrival to U.S. will be subject to program termination and no amount will be refunded.
- To provide all necessary/requested documentation in a timely manner and provide true and correct information due to them.
- To submit payment of the program fees in a timely manner (The due date will be indicated on an invoice).
- To secure his/her housing before arrival in the United States unless provided by the Host Company for the duration of the student’s stay in the USA.
- To observe and respect laws and regulations of the USA as well as the Host Company’s internal regulations.
- To perform his/her duties during his/her training period at a high standard and with all due skills, care, and attention regarding the level of the knowledge, experience, or education the Candidate has represented to USE Global, Inc he or she possesses.
- Candidate’s Responsibilities. The Candidate is responsible and liable for:
- All transportation costs to, from and within the USA.
- All his/her living expenses such as food, transportation and housing unless provided by the Host Company for the duration of the intern/trainee’s stay in the USA.
- All medical expenses and bills except the medical insurance provided by the Sponsor Organization.
- Reading all emails, documents and agreements provided to the Candidate by USE Global, Inc and the Sponsor.
- To register in Student and Visitor information System (hereafter referred to as “SEVIS”) after reaching destination point in USA and apply to get Social Security Number. If the Candidate does not register with SEVIS within thirty (30) calendar days of arrival in the United States and receive a Social Security Number, his/her participation in the Program will be terminated. In this case, the Provider will not be liable for termination.
- If the Candidate is not in the United States on time due to a visa delay, he must notify the employer.

5% from both payment attempts will be deducted for bank actions.
Candidate’s active email must be noted during registration. USE is not responsible for difficulties in obtaining a DS-2019 as a result of registering an inactive email, and a $100 penalty applies in this case.
The SEVIS fee will be submitted to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to create the Candidate’s profile on the SEVIS system upon the process of the Form DS 2019 and no refund will be issued once the SEVIS fee is submitted to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

5% of payment will be deducted for bank actions in any refund case.
All refundable payments are credited only to the card (account) to which the initial payment was made, will be returned in the period October 15-31, 2024, after confirmation by the financial department.
Refunds for students registered after November 1, 2023 will be issued from November 15 to November 30, {{contract.app.year}}.
If the refund falls on a weekend, the transaction will be processed on the next business day of the bank.
ARTICLE 5. OTHER TERMS
The Candidate understands that USE Global, Inc. can cancel application if we determine that the Candidate fails to pass the requirements and eligibility based on the rules and regulations by the Sponsor Organization, or US Department of State.
The job offered to the Candidate is arranged by his/her language level. The Candidate can not refuse from the proposed job offer. If the Candidate refuse the proposed job offer, no amount will be refunded.
The Candidate understands if the Host Company determines that the Candidates does not perform his/her duties properly and/or the Candidate does not comply strictly with the regulations, the Employer has the right to terminate or fire the Candidate anytime during the Summer Work and Travel program. In this case the Candidate will not be entitled to receive any refund.
The Candidate understands that he/she can not change the job after beginning working in the USA without the consent of the employer and Sponsor.
If the Candidate fails to commence work in the US for any reason, the Candidate will be required to notify the Sponsor. In this case, the Sponsor will contact the current employer and attempt to resolve the issue. If the current issue is not resolved, the Sponsor will look for a new job for the Candidate.
